It is suspected that the septic tank exploded after the victim lit a cigarette and immediately smoked while having a bowel movement.

The victim suffered burns as a result of the incident. The victim was also rushed to the hospital.

The septic tank explosion incident occurred in the victim’s boarding house on Jalan Anggrek Sengkang, Tempe District, Wajo on Friday (7/7/2023) afternoon.

The police also intervened to investigate the crime scene (TKP) on Saturday (8/7/2023).
