Make sure you’ve marked your calendar for the NAACP Peace Party on August 28th. We will have Food Trucks A-Go-Go, an exotic petting zoo from Pet Shop Santa Cruz, bounce houses, and much more. I’ve also designed a scavenger hunt aimed at all ages to help teach about racial bias. Those who will play will get free tickets to the drawing for prizes from Upper Crust Pizza, Sweetie B’s treats, New Bohemia Brewing, and more!
Plus, on Monday from 5pm to 9pm, if you mention GPCC at Woodstock’s Pizza Santa Cruz, they will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Peace Party. Use this flyer for dine-in or pick-up. Sounds delicious, right?
Check out the event on Facebook and join us in working for a better Santa Cruz.
Congratulations to Randall!
We are happy and sad to announce that Randall Sparling, our Minister of Counseling, has accepted a residency position at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Michigan. He will start August 22. We’re excited for the next stage of his career and we’ll miss him and his family!
